"In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth." (Genesis 1:1) I think most of us have atleast a descent understanding on how the story goes in terms of creating the Earth. I think alot of us how ever skip over or atleast don't pay much attention to the Creating Heaven part. Maybe it is because Heaven is so unfathomable that we are unable to comprehend it so rather than spend time on it we focus on what is a little easier to comprehend, the Earth. None the less, there it is. God actually took the time to create Heaven. I have never thought of Heaven actually being created in all its glory and splendor. God didn't just occupy it but created it.
Why do I find that to be a big deal? Well first off if you read the ancient text of the bible and other works, you'll find that before God created the earth or anything else in its physical form, he first created it in a spiritual less tangible form. In addition to that, the order of creating things physically was not in the same order as things created spiritual. In fact physically man may have come last in creation, but spiritually man came first. But perhaps the biggest kicker of all is that not only did God create the Earth and everything on it but he allowed us to assist in it's creation.
Now if you think about that for a while, it should blow you away. To think that we actually had power to create something so beautiful and glorious. However it makes since. Most of us freely accept the fact that God is our Heavenly Father, and like any child as they grow and progress they tend to take on the traits of their parents. So really this great power to create is our nature. The most obvious proof of this is that every day millions of babies are born. Thats why we call the act of making babies pro"creating".
Baby making is not our only creating skill. Our earth is full of amazing creations that with the intelligence granted to us by our Heavenly Father, that man has created. Giant Skyscrapers and bridges, amazing technology, awe inspiring music etc. But what we probably don't realize atleast conciously is just Like God Created way back when, all those things were first created in Spiritual form. Take the Golden Gate bridge for example; someone, one day had the thought to build this enormous bridge that would act as a conduit to transport people across the San Franciso Bay. The bridge further created on paper by drawing up plans with mathmatical and geometric equations to assure the bridge would prove sufficient. Then the creation we all think about finally came to pass as the physical structure was put together and viola, the bridge is one of the greatest man made structures ever built. But it all began with the intangible spiritual creation of thought followed then by creating it on paper and so forth.
What the Blog is all about is doing what was originally done so very long ago. If you read that first chapter of Genesis it is amazing to see how much actually got done in what is referred to as a day. No doubt this was possible because as I have already mentioned it was all ready created before then. Since we are children of God and have been given the power to create. My suggestion is to use the same formula that was used to create an amazing day in Genesis and use it to create an amazing day now and every day there after.
Every day for 6 years I have started my day by finishing it first. I take a 3X5 card and a pen and I start to give the day some thought. At first I wrote 6 things that I found essential to do every day and then would put a few more things I needed to do or wanted to do. As time went on and I finally got in the habit of getting my 6 daily things done I added a seventh. Once I mastered the seventh I mastered an eighth and so on. I now have 13 things that I do on a daily basis. I usually add half a dozen or so other things that need to get done, or things that I want to do to have fun. So once I fill out my 3X5 card, i take a moment and look at it. I ask myself if this was all to get done would it be an amazing day? (Cheesy I Know) Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes No. However I never start the day until I can say that this is gonna be a day for the ages. Once that is done, I am jacked out of my mind and I get to work. I have increased my productivity more than 5x's what I used to be and I have mastered certain aspects of my life that I would have never done if I didn't keep myself concious to do it.
Some of my days I create the day with ultimate productivity in mind. Others I am looking for a lesson to be learned or to have a life experiance. Sometimes the goal is to do some service or philanthropy, but always when all is said and done, you tend to get what you focus on. It is as simple as that. Write down what you want life to bring you today and chances are life will bring it to you on a silver platter. Let me give you an example of what a day would look like, here is my list today.
1) Prayer 2) read Scriptures 3) Read 10pgs of a good book 4) Listen to 30 Minutes of Personal Development 5) work out 6) Money making stuff 6A) East Vally Email 6B) Team email 6C) Plan conference call 6D) plan colorado Training 6E) Update Calendar
7) journal 8) Ensign Article 9) Affirmation 10) Visualization 11) Yoga 12) 30 minutes of Spanish
13) Walk 2 Miles 14) Pack For Colorado 15) Passport Stuff 16) Apply for Corporate credit 17)Clean House 18) Touch up paint 19) Finish Blog 20) Mail Package 21) Buy Camera
Now That is a full day, with getting things done in mind. It's a lot but because Ive been doing this everyday for a while slowly I have been able to get more accomplished, Granted it's not creating Oceans and Countless animals but based on the same principles that our Father in Heaven followed, I am able to create my own amazing days. May you live all the days of your life, we have a limited supply of them and the clock is ticking. www.travisalexander.net
Wow. This is great stuff. The index card is a genius idea. Chad and I are part of a "90 day goal group" right now and it's the same idea. Every morning we check in with our partner and commit ourselves to accomplishing certain goals that day, then that night we talk to the again and report what we actually did. Just vocalizing what you want to get done (to yourself or someone else) makes you work 10 times harder to get it done. Anyways, great stuff, great writing. Very inspirational.
ReplyDeleteI gotta give it to Travis...he really has inspired me , even after his as demise! His words are so alive ...So true..real! God be with your soul Travis..RIP!!!!
ReplyDeleteand here we are today being inspired. would we have ever visited this blog had it not been for his death?. probobly not. Travis now so many people will hopefully be touched. I am so sorry what you endured

You are so right. Each entry I've read so far has brought me to tears and touched my heart, mind and soul! R.I.P. Travis and god bless everyone. <3
Deletecreepy, last note: to buy camera...
ReplyDeleteThat is weird :(
DeleteTravis, the only reason, why your life ended was because God needed you. I will not allow the defense team with all there lies, tarnish your spirit. That Devil, Jodi, may have ended your life too soon, but the legacy you leave with your beautiful words, will live on.
ReplyDeleteJodi arias is pure evil. I hope the jury sends her to death chamber. Liar liar....don't believe her lies on the stand. She used sex to save the so called relationship. She didn't care and allowed to be the 3 hole whore that everybody knew she was. She gives real women a bad name. LOSER. She is a piece of shit. She is so ugly. What did he see? The 3 holes?
ReplyDeletePlease don't turn this into a Jodi Arias bashing blog. Enough is about her. Let's keep this all about the important things. That being Travis and his beauty. Body and soul
DeleteHere is the NEW Camera.
ReplyDeleteYUP..
Bless your sweet heart Travis. You were and are an inspiration. I'm so sorry for the pain you endured through your childhood and I'm so sorry for the pain you endured on your last day here on this Earth. Rest now and know how much you are loved. Your pure heart will never be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteTravis, I love your heart... I am blessed for coming across your blog. Your sweet words were just what I needed, you are a messenger for God.
DeleteAmen, I agree, Rilene Day. God bless your beautiful soul, Travis Alexander.
DeleteI knew Travis Alexander and considered him a friend. I was always impressed wth his ability to win people over. He had such an air of confidence about him!
ReplyDeleteHe was funny. I remember walking through a store with him one day. He stopped at one aisle and helped a person with one of their purchases and explained all of the offerings on the shelf and left saying, "Thank you for shopping". I laughed until a year from now! He was not a perfect person.
I have listened to the embarrasing recording made of his phone conversations presented in court hearings. I recognize his voice and can verify that he is the person speaking. I have preferred not to think of his troubled personal faults. I know he made mistakes and bad decisions, but it is not my place to judge himm so harshly. All I can say is that his absence is tragic. His case should be prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
Travis... Your great grandfather was right! You are special. I only wish I was reading your words in your book, not for the reasons I am. Your words are inspirational and now your legacy. You deserve justice...but until Then I and others read your words and live your words.
ReplyDeleteyou are still impressing the world today - just like Jesus did - death will not stop people from loving you - Great Grandpa Vic was so wise, to instill those thoughts in your little mind, and how proud he must be now - how you have touched the world, in one short lifetime. Love you and admire you......Jesus was not pure either...
ReplyDeleteI've been sitting and watching everything that has happened. This guy was no saint, but he didn't deserve to be murdered in a jealous rage by Jodi Arias. It's very apparent they had a mutual obsessive relationship. He enjoyed the sex and attention she gave to him and in typical male fashion wanted his cake and eat it too. It's my belief he was spiritually struggling and to try and get away from Jodi at the end there. His past wounded him and her past wounded her and the two together did not make a bright future, it was toxic.
ReplyDeleteJodi used her sexual promiscuity to lure him in hoping that would make him want her more. She wanted what he could provide financially. She saw that he was going places with his life and could not stand the thought of anybody else having him but her. But he's not saint and I'm sick of reading that he was, he used his religion to hide behind and used it to gain popularity and prestige among other like minded folks but was lying and making excuses for his unsaintly behavior. I've seen his Myspace and calling women "whores" when he was seemingly by all accounts was treating Jodi like one was a slight on and insight into his true personality, not the facade he wanted the church and public to know about.
I believe it was his last blog "Gold Digger" and his going to Cancun to with another woman is what set Jodi over the edge. He knew she was reading his blogs, he knew she was obsessed with him yet he provoked her and teased her because it was a sick game the way these two treated each other. I also don't see much original thought coming from Mr. Alexander, alot of this writing is recycled babble with some personal inputs from his own POV and life/past/hope. I know exactly what kind of person Travis was. The guy had a lot of growing up to do this is for sure.
Jodi planned his murder. It ate her and the jealousy took over. She took that gun from her grandpa, she filled those gas cans as not to be traceable in Arizona, she came there unannounced (did not call him) and once again used the only thing she had, sex as a weapon. He of course didn't turn it down, he couldn't resist treating her like a dirty whore.
She probably asked him to take her to Cancun in hopes that the sex they just had meant more to him than just sex. When he denied her she would do what she planned all along - kill him.
Once he got into the shower his fate was sealed. It took her a couple of minutes to finish him ---stabbing him, slicing his throat, and then a final blow to the face with the gun.
He didn't deserve to be murdered. Nobody deserves to die because of a toxic relationship. Most of us at some point in our lives do have relationships that we know are not healthy and most of us are able to move on easily.
She deserves to spend the rest of her life in jail or even the DP is fine with me. What he did was not nice guy behavior but what she did was straight up murder. I don't think she was ever a good person, not an ounce in her is good. Unlike Travis, he did have redeming qualities and was searching for deeper meaning to life and to become a better guy.
I too, found it weird that the last item on the day's list was to buy a camera. We know from she-devil's testimony that he had bought a new camera and it was the one she was using when she killeld him. This whole story is so sad. She comes across so confident, I"m surprised she didn't just think she could have anyone she wanted and move on instead of killing Travis. It seems like it was almost impossible that their relationship was going to end any other way. My ex-husband stalked me for 2 years after we divorced. It's frightening when they step out of nowhere when you're leaving work or appear in a restaurant where you're eating. Travis may not have been a saint but he did not deserve what she did. If I ever get the chance all I want to ask the bitch is: "If you're all that, you should have been able to go one with your life without destroying his. Why didn't you just move on? He'd be alive and you wouldn't be locked up." Good riddance, whore.
ReplyDeleteGuy was a sexual pervert! F'ing her in the bunghole....Disgusting faggot
ReplyDeleteYou are a sad person to come on here and leave a comment like that... and who says bunghole anymore.. everyone wants to find a tight hole she onky had one tight hole in her ***
DeleteI've read some of this blog and I have to say it is very motivating, inspirational and spiritual. I find that Travis(may he rest in peace) was a great speaker and you can see this in his writing. I stumbled on this blog after reading about it. I really like this blog and it is very sad that it didn't continue. I pray for the Alexander family and pray that justice is served.
ReplyDeleteAnd to the negative comments, please have some respect for this man's memory. We know nothing about him except that he was brutally murdered and what we can read here on his blog.
We are all sinners striving for sainthood. May this man rest in peace. May others restrain from judging him. As Our Lord Jesus said, Let he without sin cast the first stone.
ReplyDeleteOur role as a child of God is to love one another. May those who cannot forgive receive much needed grace from God that their souls may not be tarnished with anger and hate. Only through love can we become Christ like.
Blessings
Remember, God's opinion is the only one that matters.
ReplyDeleteReally sad! TVA may you rest in peace!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't comment or even read blogs but something drew me to this trial and ultimately here. I think now that I have the answer. The writings here are amazing. I will use Travis's words to improve my own life.
ReplyDeleteThis is an eternal legacy left by him that can speak volumes to young men and women all over the world. I hope that Travis's loved ones find a way to keep his dreams alive through his writings here and help in the process of reaching the many needy souls these words can encourage.
To those writing such nasty comments, maybe if you took the time to read his words your hearts would soften and realize that you yourself are not perfect.
To J WI : Please do not compare Travis Alexander to "Jesus". Jesus was tempted but was WITHOUT SIN.
ReplyDeleteTravis allowed his lust and human nature to get the best of him.
I can't stand Jodi Arias...and I believe she is EVIL and twisted.
Travis did not deserve to die but he wasn't "the PERFECT man" as some try to portray him.
I feel like a stalker myself for watching this trial unfold. I really need to comment that yes, Jesus was perfect and without sin (only my opinion) Travis was not. Agree that he longed for attention and love and was not taught as a small boy the example was missing in his home life. She gave him sex to gain position, he couldn't resist. So the end of the saga came. He was protected by a higher power ultimately providing all the evidence against her.She is the vilest of the vile and the jury has her number.Oh the look on her face when the prosecutor showed her the evidence of the gas can being filled in Utah and that it was not returned to the Walmart for cash. If you purchase with a debit card, the card it credited, can't get cash back. She's a succubus.
ReplyDeletemen give LOVE to get sex ' and women give SEX to get LOVE:
ReplyDeleteTravis you were human and not perfect, just like us all. However, you did not kill Jodi, you only tried to erase her from your life and that is something she would not stand for. The world has lost two people with amazing potential. Travis you are no longer on this earth and Jodi has been removed from society. She will will have her judgement day with her maker.
ReplyDeleteAnonynous... Why don't you create your own blog and stay out of this one! You really need to get your own life.
ReplyDeleteIt is my fondest hope that your family still here on earth will one day read my post and begin to heal: Dear Alexander Family, I am so touched and saddened by your loss. May God's presence and Holy Spirit hold you now. I check in with legal media daily to learn any trial updates and pray that God's justice will be done. As your fellow American, I know 'she' is putting on a sinful lying act and I do not believe one word of her so-called testimony. Had I been on this jury, I would already know my verdict. The sex stuff doesn't concern me. Your brother was a man. It is no surprise to any of us that we all aren't perfect! Without knowing me, you probably already know I'm a sinner, saved by grace, whose made mistakes...welcome to humanity after Adam! Still I wouldn't want my private life paraded about in front of the world. Travis enjoyed sex--big deal. He was made that way! God created us to be sexual beings . No surprises there.none of us have the right to judge him for that! From her own testimony, Travis treated her well even when she didn't deserve it! Travis was a healthy male, and if anything, it appears he tried to break free from HER advances. The texts and calls were her leading him; it's very clear. Having read Travis' blogs so wonderfully insightful and beautifully written, I am positive he achieved his life's purpose! He is still motivating, inspiring and leading hundreds of people by what positive footsteps he left here. God used Travis for God's purposes, and Travis is no longer suffering. He is in a better place. Think on that. Do not dwell on evil.Your brother was, and is, a beautiful human being, and now, lives with our Lord Jesus Christ in eternity! A glorious thought and truth! May God Bless you all and comfort you with His mighty presence and love! (Ive got to go jot down my 3x5 card "To-do" list now!! ) -A Sister in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17--
ReplyDelete"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (English standard version)
I cancur with the sister in christ with the kind words for Travis's family. I too wish them the best and hope that we see justice soon. The good Lord above sees all and knows all, should we not see justice done here on earth I assure you it will be done in the afterlife. God bless all who are supporting the family of this young man.
ReplyDeletePlease forgive my typo, I meant concur.
ReplyDeleteI never met you in person, but getting to know you in your blog, pics, videos, and your family and friends, gives me such a sadness in my chest.
ReplyDeleteIt is clear you were trying to choose the right path and the devil worked thru jodi to steal your life and your message, but as God always does he turns all to good. Your positive messages and hopefully your book someday will be a message to young people every where the evils of premarital sex.
YOU CANT PLAY IN THE DEVILS PLAYGROUND AND COME OUT ALIVE.
Young men. Dont use women or lead them on. Be strong and walk the righteous path it will pay off. Oh how much Travis sadly lost......
Young women dont have sex with men before marriage they dont respect you no matter how much they say the do. THEY DONT AND WONT! You cant use sex as a tool. Have self respect value your body as the Lords temple. If you have to manipulate HES JUST NOT INTO YOU! Move on to someone who will look into your heart and love you for you. WAIT FOR HIM! Gods plan is so much better than ours.
THE EVIL OF LUST WILL DESTROY YOU!
JEALOUS WILL STEAL YOUR SOUL!
As I watch you on video my heart aches you will never see another sunrise or sunset, never walk down the aisle , never be married, never have children and sooo much more Travis definitely would have made such a difference in the world. He wouldve been an amazing father and husband.
Oh Travis I wish you would have never met Jodi.
I wish so much you were alive
I hope your story and your suffering will be a cautionary tale to both young men and young women
O Loving Father and Savior, send your angels to carry the soul of your servant from this earth to the heavenly place of eternal and everlasting life. Let family and friends who have passed before in faith be reunited in joy with the departed. Forgive any wrongs that have been committed and welcome this beloved spirit into the warm embrace of your unending peace. Amen.
A CATHOLIC GIRL
Where does jizzing in your ex-girlfriends face fit into Travis' amazing day?
ReplyDeleteTravis certainly believed he knew legitimate porno. I wonder when he had the time to watch and compare?
An AMAZING DAY without anal sex would never be AMAZING.
Lol
DeleteWhat a beautiful person you are. We are surely at a loss here on earth with your life being taken away so young. It is apparent, you had so much to give. Heaven has definitely gained an Angel.
ReplyDeleteToday is an Amazing Day, Travis! Seems as though is was Created just for you. Yes, today was Created as an Amazing Day. Justice is being served. RIP, dear boy.
ReplyDeleteTravis you were an amazing and wise soul. I know you led many to their happiness spot with your inspirational messages. I am sorry we were never friends and I pray that your legacy of goodness and charity will live on in your family and friends. God Bless you. If there is ever anything I can do for them...pull some strings from Heaven and hook me up with them. :) Darlene Nash drn1057@aol.com
ReplyDeleteTravis may you rest in peace! I know that God welcomed you home with open arms. My heart and prayers go out to your friends and family.
ReplyDeleteThis is just what I needed to hear at this time of my life. Thank you for the advice Travis.
ReplyDeleteTravis, sadly, your physical presence is no longer with us; however, you have left a legacy that will live farther than you ever imagined and will shine brighter, and longer, than most stars.
ReplyDeleteYour words and hearing about you from your loving family has touch my heart... you are a angle...
ReplyDeleteSending love from Ohio R.I.P
What a beautiful spiritual person.
ReplyDeleteYes, you were special, you knew you were created in the image of God and you understood what that really meant. I feel you are in the presance of God. May you rest in peace.
excuse the mispelled word:presence
ReplyDeleteTravis your words, thought, and ideas are beautiful, sincere, and inspirational. You too were a beautiful Creation designed by God, for God. And even though you are no longer with us (I say us because I feel like I know you) your words continue to create. You see, prior to reading your blog, I felt like I was in a sad, emotional rut. But after reading your blog I realized the reason I felt like that, was because I focused on the negative things happening in my life. I forgot the beauty of the little things. Thank you for helping me see this. I will always remember you, and your beautiful life. May The Lord give your family peace and healing.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,

ReplyDeleteSo many wise words that inspire me & such a sad ending to a beautiful soul whose path didn't deserve to cross the lady that ended it. I live in France & have been following the trial & I am astonished how in the US we are making a star out of a cold blooded murderer. You seemed like such a good person Travis & you continue to inspire those that read your blog today. I hope justice will be done for you & your family.
ReplyDeleteUhm, Travis...
ReplyDeleteWhere exactly does wanting tie Jodi Arias to a tree and butt fuck her fit in? Would that be under prayer? Maybe scripture? What about asking her to moan like a 12 year old girl having her first orgasm?
It is also documented that you used to pretend to be a BYU student on their campus to pick up chicks.

Fake pious good guy shit.
Dear Travis and Alexander Family,
ReplyDeleteI never had the pleasure of meeting you but that doesn't mean that I do not feel your shining light. I think of you and your family often, regularly, but most often during holidays. I come to this blog on occasion while I grieve for you, someone I never met, and find comfort in knowing you are touching so many. Thank you for keeping this blog up. Blessings and comforting wishes.
I did not read all the comments. I am familiar with the story. I choose to judge the man in the arena he spoke 'Building yourself up, believing in yourself and fighting to do better...never giving up!' All the other - is static - you will lose Travis true gift of sharing if you focus on all the other. Do not let Jodi Arias win. She was not a victim. Focus on Travis and his messages. Forgive the man but love his message.
