Why we are here...

I can't say that I have ever done a blog before. Til now I have felt it to be a little trendy for my taste. However I have been feeling a little pensive lately and just felt like writng my thoughts down. I don't care too badly if anyone reads this, I guess it is just more for me.
I love my life. Why I have been so blessed, is hard for me to understand. I have fantastic visionary friends. A supportive family. Most importantly the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been put in a good place financially the past few years and more and more everyday I have a greater passion about this life I have been given. I can honestly say that I awake every single day happy. I am motivated by it. To make it a day better than the last. To go to bed better than I woke up and to do it all over again the next day.
I guess that is why I am writing this. I feel as if it is the way to live. To have purpose, to have righteous desire to make this world a better place because you are in it. It is trendy these days for comedians and celebrities and the country in general, to blame our problems on our President his cabinet and whoever else they can. My question is who decides how much TV we watch on a daily basis, how much time do we spend in negative conversation of family members and co workers. The reading of the latest of Brittney and K-Fed rather than a book about how to better yourself. Or even the music about random sex violence and living like an animal.
My point being that these same people that are at home engaged in these activities are the same people blaming someone else for how pathetic their life is. Making no connection that it might not be some guy in the Whitehouse that it is to blame. If you want to know why life is the way it is, For the good or the bad, you don't have to look any farther than the nearest mirror. Thats right it is my opinion that 100% of where you are depends on you. Now you don't have to agree but if you will do yourself the favor of accepting 100% responcibility for where you are in life, then and only then can you change your life.
You see, if you choose to blame someone else than you have no power. For things to change they have to change and chances are they wont because honestly they are probably doing just fine. But if you want your life to change, it can, if you choose to change. If you want to lose 20 lbs President Bush can't go to the gym for you. If you want to get a promotion at work Condoleezza Rice can't decide to be a little more productive than your counter parts. If you want a more successful marriage, Dick Cheney can't pry your hand off the remote and place it on the hand of your spouse that hasnt heard the words I love you in six months.
My point being is that it has nothing to do with who is running the White house it matters who is running your house. For whatever reason in the midst of all our courses in college there isnt a class called responcibility 101. If we would just live up to our own situation and be proactive in knowing we all alone just as one person can make a difference in our own life and the lives of countless others this world would be infinantly better. We all in my opinion are children of God. When a king has a son we call him a prince, destin to become a king himself. Well we are the children of the King of kings. As the adage says the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. And if we are children of one that has power to create worlds without number than we have power to change this world.

I think Marianne Williamson said it best:
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.It is not just in some; it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously giveother people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

We Only live once, we dont get another shot if we screw it up. Why not live life to the fullest. On our death bed, none of us will wish they watched more TV or read more tabloids or liste to foul music, and they certainly wont wish that they blamed there lives on someone else a liitle more.
It is my prayer that we live all the days of our lives. That we will be brave enough to unplug from the matrix and let the greatness within us manifest to all the world so that you will provide courage for others to do the same. Then can you live an abundant fulfilling life with out regret. A life that most are afraid to even dream about. I know that such a life exist. That it is intended for all of us. The Savior said: I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly. That is my wish for all of you. You can have it if you can only convince the one in the mirror. This is why I think to some degree why we are here.

So sad to see the Hate still exist in the Hearts of Travis Alexanders Family and Friends. Where is your Christian Forgiveness? What a strange religion you promote demonstrating Hate at every turn. You will never receive Peace with the hatred you hold in your hearts. Travis was not and is not an Angel and should not be idolized.

I love when people want to judge other people and then sign anonymous...if you feel it own it. I believe the trial was fair..I had not heard of Jodi or Travis until I stumbled across it on the web. Travis made some serious mistakes as I am a Mormon. But Jodi chose to brutally take a life. The evidence doesn't lie but Jodi did constantly. I kept saying this hasvto be a movie...Jodi couldn't even keep her stories straight...so many oh but wait now I remember all "evil" of Travis the man she loved??? her own words were she killed him. SO ANONYMOUS I Pam Giles believe she should pay for being a cold blooded conniving murder.

Wow George, it seems to me that you are the nut. I see so many non religious people acting like they have superior minds, and that their way is the right way. Very narrow minded because its obvious by the wiring of Travis Alexander that he has a very high IQ. Some of the smartest and most innovative people in history are deeply religious. BTW- committing a sin does not mean that one should be brutally murdered. At least that is what religious people believe, and I think this is a much more intelligent belief than the one that you hold.

Isn't it about time that Arizona executes that savage murderess, the horse-faced, barrel-tailed, crosseyed psychopath Arias?

Anonymous said...

George, above, has it right. There is a long-established statistical correlation between education and religiosity, between intelligence and religiosity. That is, the less educated the more religious; the dumber, the more religious.
That is because the higher the level of ignorance, the greater the reliance on magical fantasies, superstition, concepts of mythical creatures in the sky who control the events in human lives and on the earth. Those are the essential elements of religion.

Rest in peace. Never saw evil near you, that's how positive of a guy u were,it's sad how they stole your life just cuz they couldn't have you

Anonymous said...

It wasn't "they" who stole the man's life: it was Jodi Arias, the savage psychopath. If there is even a shred of justice in this world, that ugly wench will be executed.

I want to thank the family & friends of Travis for leaving this & other sites up. Travis had a brilliant mind which is quite obvious after reading his blog & watching his videos that are truly inspiring... this is his legacy. His body may be gone but his spirit and soul live on, unlike his soulless killer who represents the evil that lurks upon this earth.

That the killer has been exposed fully with nothing but blatant, filthy lies and no remorse for this heinous crime is a sign that evil shall not prevail and remain as a nameless incarnation of Satan.

Ultimately evil must be exposed and I believe that Travis died to expose it in all of its forms.

God bless...

Everyone. Everyone has there opinion, and is entitled to it but we shouldn't be saying it on the last thing his family and friends have of him. Go play it on different social media websites. Leave his blog to be read and inspire different people, not to remind people of a tragedy.

6. If the roommates and Marie Hall answered the question right away of who they thought might have done this Travis on June 9th,2008 then why didn't the same notion during the week of the 2nd of June, 2008 come into play when no one was able to get in touch with Travis? Wouldn't they think that something had happened to Travis and that Jodi might have been responsible for it then like they said she was on the 9th of June?

Although there have been plenty of negative outcomes of this case.. although many of his loved ones, and even people like us, who have heard of the case and who also feel the pain of the family, are hurting.. there also has been at least some positive in this.

The most positive one is that Travis is now safe in Heaven. Can humans know this for sure? No. However, judging by how he was highly religious, I feel in my heart that he made it to Heaven. Yes, he made mistakes here on earth. However, we all do. Not one single soul is perfect. But Travis had a good heart and soul. And I truly believe that he is in Heaven now. Heaven is the best place for anyone to be. There, he will not ever be hurt again. He will not ever feel pain or sorrow again.

Also, if this horrible situation never happened, the sad thing is, that not many people would have found his amazing writings. These writings have allowed people to get a bit of insight into how he thought. They have inspired many, many people. I'm sure that his advise has probably helped many people.

R.I.P. Travis Alexander... your memory will always carry on. You will always be in your loved ones' and so many others' hearts. You will always be an inspiration to others. And yes... you were a special person. You still are. You had a positive outlook on life, one that many people do not have. You wanted the world to be a better place for others. You tried to change it, and you always cared so much about others. You will never be forgotten. You will always be loved.

Sorry about your luck but there was a detective that testified that there had been a rash of burglaries in Jodi's hometown the week the gun was stolen from from her grandparents. Juan didn't prove the gun used to shoot Travis with had been stolen by Jodi because he didn't prove that the grandpa's gun hadnt been stolen in the rash of thefts.

Pathetic little whore. I don't understand how your own life could mean so little to you that you'd rather exchange all of it for a 4x6 jail cell just to kill someone who was just trying to get someone to settle down with. Granted, it hurt that you were not the one, but you could have gotten someone else and by now you'd be married with children and a picket fence. But that's the problem with low IQ and stupidity - always chasing permanent and foolish solutions to temporary situations. I wonder how much someone has to hate herself to be willing to spend the rest of her life in jail for the satisfaction of a few minutes. Imagine misusing 30 minutes of your life and then paying for it with 27,856,800 minutes of the rest of your life. It defies logic. But then that's what being stupid buys you in the store.

Dear Travis, It’s been 10 years since your death, you would have been 41yrs old this year and yet you will remain 31 eternally. They say only the good die young, I don’t know who came up with that phrase but it really is a shitty analogy. I never knew you but the world got to know you through Juan Martinez and Esteban Flores. They shed a light on what an incredible man you were, not the monster Jodi tried to portray you to be!

I believe Travis had a savior complex. I believe he wanted to save as many souls as he could. I believe he wanted to see the good in people and help them in any way he could. I think he viewed Jodi as a lost soul not to mention a piece of ass but I think he genuinely felt sorry for her and in turn he tried to help her out and she mistook his generosity for something else. I don’t think Travis ever loved her, not in the traditional sense that she wanted him to, although in Jodi’s mind she created a fantasy relationship that was just that, a fantasy not reality. It’s obviously Travis didn’t love her otherwise she would have been his girlfriend and he made it clear he had feelings for Mimi Hall. Jodi couldn’t let go, using sex to keep Travis around was the only reason Travis had agreed to see her, no other reason, well with the exception of repayment for the BMW but he could have made other arrangements so he didn’t have to see her again.

I think Jodi got so desperate and needed a way to hold onto Travis when she felt she was losing him to Mimi, she had to come up with a way to keep him and sex wasn’t cutting it anymore, I believe that is when she started recording their phone sex. I also think she told him at the end that she had recorded him and Travis flipped out, she may have told him she would play it for Mimi, the church, his friends, blackmail him, as a way of keeping him. She was losing her hold on him and needed insurance, and it backfired. When Travis said enough was enough, I believe she had already had the thoughts about killing him, she knew if he wasn’t going to be with her, he wasn’t going to be with anyone else either, it’s sick and sad and poor Travis had no way of escaping that psychopath. Rest In Peace Travis!

Dryson.....They matched the ammunition to Jodi’s grandfathers gun to the bullet from Travis’s head...enough proof for you????

Life is like stick: perfection on one end, evil on the other. The more perfect a person tries to act, the darker his actions. When you are honest with yourself and others a happy life is found right in the middle. Religion gets in the way of that. Happy, normal people living a life true to themselves are neither perfect nor evil.

We are fast approaching 12 years that your life was taken. For those people who think that JA is innocent are mentally ill just as she is. JA was a predator and you were oblivious to the danger you were in. It's too bad when she sliced your tires you did not see it for what it was. A very violent and irrational act by a jealous and immature little girl.
JA did not love you because she only loves herself. She murdered you because she was not going to let another woman have what she felt entitled to. I believe you are in a better place but how you got there was pure evil. She will answer to a higher power and her lies will not work on that judge and her punishment shall be just no doubt.
JA can rot where she is. Segregated from people for 23 hours a day. Plenty of time to look at the same three walls and nothing else.

To this day I come to visit your blog for your beautiful & inspiring words that have touched me. I know you're happy in heaven with Jesus and hope you know that you did positively impact many people's lives while you were on this Earth & I'm so sorry your earthly life was taken from you so soon.

He was a shitty member of the LDS church. I would not let my dog near him. He used her for sex and would not go out in public with her. No one should be murdered for being a jerk but that is what happened. I have no sympathy what so ever for him or her. He said it himself he attracted the type of girl he deserved.

Not only was Travis Alexander a womanizer and an absolute pig, but he also played with Jodi's heart by using her for sex when they were in private and then ignoring her when they were in public together. What kind of a person is that?!? And then to learn that he was playing with multiple women at one time! Additionally, he was telling everyone that he was a virgin, when that clearly wasn't true - so he was a liar as well as a scumbag! Everybody always acts like Travis was perfect and completely ignores what a douche bag he was to women.

And also, if Travis was alive, then I would tell him to work on his grammar and spelling skills, because they're terrible for a so-called "executive"!

In the end, you reap what you sow.....that's how I would sum up his demise. Period. End of story.

I'm also from Queensland and I have a feeling you've been in the sun too long. Yes Arias is a killer and she's where she belongs but enough of the sanctimonious hero worshipping of Travis. Just because he was the victim by no means means he was perfect. He strung Arias along and treated her like trash and he had a legitimate addiction to sex. Do a little more reading
